Scholastic Area Assessment

Two-Term System:

  •  First Term: April to September
  •  Second Term: October to March

Terminal Examinations:

  •  100 Marks for terminal exams.
  •  20 Marks are allocated for Internal Assessments, broken down as follows:
    •  5 Marks – Periodic Test
    •  5 Marks – Multiple Assessments
    •  5 Marks – Portfolio
    •  5 Marks – Subject Enrichment Activities

Key Components of Scholastic Assessments:

 Periodic Tests:  Conducted four times a year at regular intervals to assess understanding of specific topics.

 Multiple Assessments:  Involves ongoing tasks throughout the year, such as quizzes, group discussions, debates, and other interactive activities, to evaluate conceptual understanding.

 Portfolio:  A A collection of students' work, such as assignments, projects, and creative writing, showing their learning progress.

 Subject Enrichment Activities:  These activities help students explore and develop skills beyond the standard curriculum, offering experiential learning.

Students are assessed on discipline based on the following factors:

 Social Attitude

The discipline is graded term-wise using the 3-point scale:

 A = Outstanding

 B = Very Good

 C = Fair
